(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부평구가 26일, 성평등가족부 주관 ‘2025 여성친화도시 이행점검’에서 우수 지자체로 선정돼 대통령 표창을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

부평구에 따르면, 차준택 구청장은 이날 서울 페럼타워에서 열린 ‘2025년 여성친화도시 정부포상 수여식’에 참석, 기관을 대표해 표창을 수상한 뒤 우수사례를 발표했다.

앞서 부평구는 정부의 여성친화도시 이행점검 결과, 여성친화도시 5대 목표인 성평등 추진 기반 구축, 여성의 경제·사회 참여 확대, 지역사회 안전 증진, 가족친화(돌봄)환경 조성, 여성의 지역사회 활동역량 강화 등 전 분야에서 높은 평가를 받았다.

현재 부평구는 여성친화 중심 기관인 부평구 여성센터와 함께  찾아가는 성평등 교육, 찾아가는 육아코칭․다행학습코칭, 학습동아리 공간 제공, 도란도란 공작 소모임, 찾아가는 구직상담소 등 사업을 운영 중이다.

특히 여성센터의 ‘신중년 꿈을 품다’ 사업의 경우 신중년 여성들의 경력단절 문제를 취업 교육 및 연계를 통해 풀어가며, 부평형 여성 일자리 창출에 기여한 점이 높게 평가됐다.

또, 함께하는 육아 프로젝트 ‘진짜 쉬운 아빠육아’는 아빠들의 자연스러운 돌봄 참여를 유도하며 가족 친화적 환경을 조성한 점이 눈에 띄었다.

이 외에도 전국적인 우수사례로 꼽힌 ‘여성이 편안한 발걸음 500보’ 사업은 여성친화적 도시 공간을 만드는 협력 모델로 자리 잡았다.
