(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 계양구가 지난 25일, 윤환 구청장이 제263회 계양구의회 제2차 정례회에서 구정연설을 통해 지난 3년간의 주요 성과를 공유하고, 2026년도 구정 운영 방향을 밝혔다. 

계양구에 따르면, 이날 윤환 구청장은 “민선 8기 출범 이후 숨 가쁘게 달려온 3년이었다.”며 구민과 의회에 감사의 뜻을 전하고, 3기 신도시·테크노밸리·광역소각장·계양–강화 고속도로 등 출범 초기 계양구가 직면했던 난제들을 되짚었다. 

계양구는 그간 정책 방향 조정과 과감한 전략적 전환을 통해 지속 발전 가능한 구정의 기반을 다져왔다고 강조했다.

주요 성과로는 3기 신도시 교통 대안으로 당초 계획된 S-BRT(간선급행버스체계)를 ‘대장홍대선 철도’로 전환, 테크노밸리를 단순 제조업 중심에서 첨단업종 중심으로 재편, 전 지역 지하철 접근성 확대를 위한 서울지하철 2호선 및 GTX-D 연계 추진, 계양아라온 관광 인프라 강화 등이다.
