(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천의 미래 성장 동력을 확보하기 위한 산학연관정 협력의 구심점이 될 ‘바이오헬스케어 산학연관정 협의체’가 지난 7월 3일 공식 출범을 위한 첫발을 내디뎠다.

(사)연수송도경영자협의회와 인천대학교의 공동 제안으로 성사된 이번 간담회는 인천시, 인하대학교, 한국생산기술연구원 지능화뿌리기술연구소, 인천테크노파크 등 인천의 바이오헬스케어 산업을 이끄는 핵심 기관의 주요 관계자 20여 명이 참석하여 진행했다.

이번 간담회는 인천의 세계적 수준의 바이오 인프라를 기반으로, 기관 간 칸막이를 허물고 실질적인 협력 플랫폼을 구축하기 위해 마련됐다. 

참석자들은 ‘하나된 인천의 힘으로, 세계를 선도하는 바이오 혁신을!’이라는 캐치프레이즈 아래, 협의체를 인천 미래산업의 컨트롤 타워로 발전시켜 나가기로 뜻을 모았다.

이날 간담회에서는 미래 유망 기술 발굴 및 공동 R&D 과제 기획, 대학의 원천기술과 기업의 사업화 수요를 잇는 기술이전 플랫폼 운영, 산업 맞춤형 인재 양성 및 채용 연계, 현장 중심의 정책 제안 및 규제 개선 건의 등 협의체의 구체적인 역할과 중장기 활동 로드맵에 대해 심도 깊은 논의가 이뤄졌다.

특히, 참여 기관들은 단기적으로 ‘인천 바이오헬스케어 기술자원 맵’을 구축하여 역내 기술 수요와 공급을 체계화하고, 이를 바탕으로 빠른 시일 내에 성공사례를 만들 수 있는 단기 상용화 과제(Quick-Win Project)를 추진하기로 합의했다. 

또한, 향후 RISE(지역혁신중심 대학지원체계) 사업과 긴밀히 연계하여 시너지를 극대화하고, 경제자유구역청 등 유관기관의 참여를 확대해 협력 체계를 더욱 강화해 나갈 계획이다.

이날 간담회를 주관한 (사)연수송도경영자협의회 김종우 바이오헬스케어 단장은 “이번 간담회는 인천의 미래를 위해 산학연관정이 ‘원팀’으로 나아가는 역사적인 출발점”이라며, “협의체가 기업에게는 성장의 기회를, 대학과 연구소에는 연구 성과 확산의 장을, 그리고 인천시에게는 강력한 산업 정책 파트너가 될 수 있도록 최선을 다해 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

또한, 공동 협력기관으로 참석한 인천대학교 강동구 산학협력단장은 “이번 협의체 간담회를 통해 인천지역의 바이오헬스케어 산업을 주도할 협력 기반이 마련되었다”며, “지속 가능한 산학연 협력 네트워크를 바탕으로 지역과 대학, 산업이 함께 성장할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The 'Bio-Healthcare Industry-Academia-Government Cooperation Council', which will be the center of industry-academia-government cooperation to secure Incheon's future growth engine, took its first step toward its official launch on July 3.

This meeting, which was held through a joint proposal by the Yeonsu Songdo Management Association and Incheon National University, was attended by approximately 20 key officials from key institutions leading Incheon’s bio healthcare industry, including Incheon City, Inha University, the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology’s Intelligent Root Technology Research Institute, and Incheon Technopark.

This meeting was organized to break down barriers between institutions and establish a practical cooperation platform based on Incheon’s world-class bio infrastructure.

Under the catchphrase, “With the power of Incheon as one, leading the world in bio innovation!”, the participants agreed to develop the council into a control tower for Incheon’s future industry.

At the meeting that day, there was an in-depth discussion on the specific roles of the council, such as discovering promising future technologies and planning joint R&D projects, operating a technology transfer platform that connects universities’ original technologies with companies’ commercialization needs, fostering and recruiting talent tailored to the industry, proposing policies centered on the field, and suggesting regulatory improvements.

In particular, the participating organizations agreed to establish the ‘Incheon Bio-Healthcare Technology Resource Map’ in the short term to systematize the demand and supply of technology in the region, and to promote a short-term commercialization project (Quick-Win Project) that can create successful cases in a short period of time based on this.

In addition, they plan to maximize synergy by closely linking with the RISE (Regional Innovation-centered University Support System) project in the future, and to further strengthen the cooperation system by expanding the participation of related organizations such as the Free Economic Zone Authority.
