(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천해양경찰서가 4일, 선박에서 발생한 화재를 진화했다고 밝혔다.

인천해경에 따르면,  지난 3일 오전 9시 25분께 옹진군 굴업도 서방 약 17해리 서해특정해역에서 어선 A호(69톤, 승선원 13명)의 선원실에 화재가 발생했다는 신고를 접수했다.

화재 현장에 도착한 인천해경 312함은 신고 접수 2시간 44분 만에 화재를 완전 진화했으며, 승선원 13명을 모두 안전한 곳으로 대피시켜 인명피해는 없었다.

이어 해당 선박을 중부지방해양경찰청 VTS(해상교통관제)와 연계해 중구 연안부두까지 안전하게 호송 조치했다.

인천해경은 선원실 내 전기 누전으로 화재가 발생한 것으로 보고, 정확한 사고 경위를 조사 중이다.

인천해경 관계자는 “여름철 높은 습도 탓에 누전이나 합선으로 인한 선박 화재 발생 가능성이 크다”며 “출항 전 장비 점검을 더욱 철저히 해야 한다”고 말했다.

한편. 인천해경은 수협을 통해 어선 선주를 대상으로 화재 예방 안전관리에 대한 교육을 실시하도록 전달할 예정이다.
