(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 4일 시청 대회의실에서 ‘2025년 2분기 모범선행시민 및 우수 이·통장 표창 수여식’을 개최하고, 모범선행시민 72명과 우수 이·통장 40명 등 총 112명에게 표창장을 수여했다고 밝혔다.

인천시에 따르면, 이번 수여식은 지역사회 발전과 이웃을 위한 시민들의 묵묵한 헌신에 감사의 마음을 전하고, 모범적인 선행 사례를 널리 알리기 위해 마련됐다.

표창 대상자는 복지 사각지대 해소, 취약계층 지원, 인명 구조, 재능기부, 기피업종 장기·우수 종사, 지역 현안 해결 등 다양한 분야에서 실질적으로 지역사회에 기여한 시민들로, 각 기관과 군·구의 추천 및 현지 확인을 거쳐 선정됐으며 수여식은 수상자와 가족들이 함께 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.

이번 표창에는 감동적인 사례들도 포함됐다. 

신속한 심폐소생술로 시민의 생명을 구한 박천주 씨, 16년간 24시간 심야약국을 운영하며 주민 건강을 지켜온 박이진 씨, 복지시설을 찾아 국악 공연과 봉사활동을 지속해 온 성백종 씨 등 각자의 자리에서 선행을 실천해 온 시민들이 선정됐다.

이 외에도 지역 곳곳에서 따뜻한 변화를 이끈 시민들의 공로가 이번 표창을 통해 조명받게 됐다.

유정복 시장은 “여러분 한 분 한 분의 작은 실천이 모여 인천을 초일류 도시로 만들어가고 있다”며 “시민들이 서로를 위하는 따뜻한 문화가 확산될 수 있도록 시에서도 지속적인 관심과 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

인천시는 앞으로도 지역사회를 위해 묵묵히 헌신하는 시민들을 적극적으로 발굴하고, 그 공로를 널리 알리며 선행의 가치를 함께 나눠나갈 계획이다.

Incheon City announced that it held the '2025 2nd Quarter Model Citizens and Outstanding Village Chiefs Award Ceremony' in the City Hall Conference Room on the 4th and awarded awards to a total of 112 people, including 72 model citizens and 40 outstanding village chiefs.
