(브레이크뉴싀인천 박상도 기자) 부평세림병원(병원장 양문술)이 3일, 보건복지부로부터 “포괄2차 종합병원”으로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

부평세림병원에 따르면, 이번 ‘포괄2차 종합병원’으로 선정됨에 따라 지역주민들은 응급 및 필수 의료분야에서 안정적으로 의료서비스를 받을 수 있게 됐다.

포괄2차병원 사업은 종합병원이 지역 내 대부분의 의료문제를 해결할 수 있는 포괄적 진료역량과 응급 등 필수의료 기능을 갖추고, 이를 지속가능하게 유지, 강화할 수 있도록 지역 거점병원의 기능을 체계적으로 강화해 상급종합병원에 가지 않더라도 지역에서 안심하고 치료를 받을 수 있는 여건을 만들기 위해 추진됐다.

보건복지부 선정평가자문단의 엄정한 심의와 평가를 토대로 필수요건인 지역응급의료센터 지정,  급성기의료기관 인증, 치료 가능한 수술ㆍ시술 350개 이상 등 모든 기준을 평가해 이를 충족한 부평세림병원을 포괄2차병원 지원사업 대상 병원으로 선정한 것이다.

이번 선정으로 부평세림병원은 정부로부터 포괄병원 기능 강화를 위한 행정적, 재정적 지원을 받게 됐다.

부평세림병원 양문술 원장은 “ 우리 부평세림병원은 42년을 지역사회의 구성원으로 함께하며, 응급 및 중증질환에 대한 적극적인 치료와 상급종합병원으로의 전원, 회송 등 연계프로그램을 통한 진료협력 관계를 이미 유지하고 있었다.“ 고 하며 ” 앞으로도 우리 지역 주민들이 안전하고 편안하게 의료서비스를 받을 수 있는 지역거점병원이 될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.“고 말했다.
