(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 3일 인천시청에서 ‘2025 국제평화안보포럼 인천(IPSF Incheon 2025)’ 조직위원회를 출범하고 본격적인 실행체계 마련에 나섰다고 밝혔다. 

인천시에 따르면,이번 포럼은 제75주년 인천상륙작전을 기념해, 지난 2023년부터 이어져 온 평화안보포럼을 국제 규모로 확대·발전시킨 행사다.

오는 9월 15일부터 16일까지 이틀간 송도컨벤시아에서 개최되며, ‘국제평화도시 인천과 한국의 미래’를 주제로 지속 가능한 평화와 자유, 안보의 길을 세계 시민과 함께 모색하는 국제대화의 장으로 진행될 예정이다.

이날 출범한 조직위원회는 유정복 인천시장이 위원장을 맡았으며, 정치, 외교, 평화, 안보, 교육, 통일, 시민사회 등 다양한 분야의 전문가와 기관 대표 등 총 22명으로 구성됐다. 

이 가운데 10명 내외는 자문단으로 별도 운영할 예정이며, 다양한 의견 수렴과 정책 자문 역할을 병행하게 된다. 

사무국은 인천연구원이 맡아 포럼 운영 전반에 대한 실무 지원과 기획, 협력체계를 담당하며, 인천시는 인천연구원과 위·수탁 협약을 체결해 긴밀한 협력체계를 유지하고 있다.

조직위원회 회의에서는 포럼 주제를 비롯해 세부 프로그램 구성, 주요 초청 인사, 시민 참여 확대 방안 등 운영 전반에 대한 심도 있는 논의가 이뤄졌으며, 위원들은 국내외 평화·안보 담론을 선도할 수 있는 포럼이 되도록 다양한 의견을 제시했다.

인천시는 조직위원회 출범을 계기로 포럼의 최종 운영계획을 확정하고, 시민과 함께하는 국제행사로 본격 추진해 나갈 계획이다.

유정복 시장은 “지금은 그 어느 때보다 평화와 안보의 가치가 중요한 시기”라며 “인천에서 시작된 역사적 전환점인 인천상륙작전을 기반으로, 세계와 함께 자유와 평화를 이야기하는 국제적 소통의 장을 만들어 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Incheon City announced on the 3rd that it launched the '2025 International Peace and Security Forum Incheon (IPSF Incheon 2025)' Organizing Committee at Incheon City Hall and began establishing a full-fledged execution system.

Incheon City plans to finalize the final operation plan for the forum with the launch of the organizing committee and to fully promote it as an international event with citizens.
