(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 중부지방해양경찰청이 27일,  대규모 해양오염사고 예방을 위해 해양오염사고 위험성이 높은 관내 해양시설 79개소를 대상으로 소속 해양경찰서(인천･평택･태안･보령)와 함께 4월 14일부터 6월 13일까지 61일간 관계기관 합동 집중안전점검을 실시하여 총 90건의 안전위협 요인을 확인하고 후속 조치를 진행 중이라고 밝혔다. 

중부해경청에 따르, 2015년부터 모든 사업장을 대상으로 안전점검 및 관리실태를 개선하고 전 국민 안전의식 생활화를 위해 매년 범정부적으로 추진해 온 집중안전점검 기간 중 해양경찰은 해안가에 소재한 주요 시설물에 대한 점검을 관계기관과 합동으로 시행하고 있다.

올해는 공무원, 민간전문가, 공사･공단, 시민단체 등 30개 기관, 총 309명의 인력이 참여하여 해양오염 우려 사업장 내 위험요소를 꼼꼼히 확인하고 점검했다.

이번 점검 결과로 해안가 유류저장시설의 유조선 인입관 방호벽 균열, 연료 수급배관 누유 등 총 38건의 시설물 수리와 정비가 필요한 사항을 확인하여 개선토록 조치했으며, 유조선으로부터의 유류 적․양하 설비 유압 자켓 누유, 비산방지막 훼손 등 총 52건의 경미한 결함을 확인하여 현장에서 시정 조치하는 등 기간 내 총 90건의 안전 취약점을 확인했다.
