(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천공항본부세관이 26일 인천국제공항에서 해외 여행자를 대상으로 ‘마약류 밀반입 예방 캠페인’을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

인천공항본부세관에 따르면, 행사는 UN지정 제39회 ‘세계 마약퇴치의 날’을 맞아 마련됐으며, 인천공항세관 직원들이 마약탐지견을 앞세우고 마약류 근절을 위한 홍보물을 여행객들에게 나누어주면서 캠페인을 전개했다.

김종호 세관장은 “마약 밀수와 유통 및 판매행위 등은 개인의 삶 뿐만 아니라 사회 전체에 큰 피해를 주는 범죄”라며, “인천공항세관은 앞으로도 첨단장비와 정보분석을 활용한 스마트 단속 체계를 바탕으로 국경 단계에서의 마약류 밀반입 차단에 총력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
