고용동향 자료에서 15세이상인구 및 경제활동인구을 보면, 2025년 5월 인천시 15세이상인구는 270만 5천명으로 전년동월대비 4만명(1.5%) 증가했다.
경제활동인구는 178만 9천명으로 전년동월대비 3만 5천명(2.0%) 증가했으며, 경제활동참가율은 66.1%로 전년동월대비 0.3%p 상승했다.
비경제활동인구는 91만 6천명으로 전년동월대비 5천명(0.5%) 증가했으며, 성별 전년동월대비 증감을 보면 남자는 32만 7천명으로 8천명(-2.4%) 감소했으나, 여자는 58만 9천명으로 1만 3천명(2.2%) 증가했다.
취업자 동향에서 취업자 및 고용률을 보면, 2025년 5월 인천시 취업자는 172만 8천명으로 전년동월대비 3만 4천명(2.0%) 증가했다.
성별 전년동월대비 증감을 보면 남자는 97만 8천명으로 2만 8천명(3.0%) 증가했고, 여자는 75만명으로 6천명(0.8%) 증가했다.
고용률은 63.9%로 전년동월대비 0.3%p 상승했으며 성별 전년동월대비 증감을 보면, 남자는 73.0%로 1.0%p 상승했으나, 여자는 54.9%로 0.4%p 하락했다.

직업별 취업자의 전년동월대비 증감을 보면,사무종사자 2만 5천명(7.8%), 관리자ㆍ전문가 1만 7천명(4.4%) 각각 증가했으나, 기능·기계조작·조립·단순종사자 8천명(-1.2%), 서비스ㆍ판매종사자 7천명(-1.9%) 각각 감소했다.
종사상 지위별 취업자에서 종사상 지위별로 전년동월대비 증감을 보면 임금근로자는 1만 6천명(1.2%) 증가했고, 비임금근로자는 1만 8천명(5.8%) 증가했다.
임금근로자 중 상용근로자는 3만 6천명(3.6%), 임시근로자는 1천명(0.3%) 각각 증가했으나, 일용근로자는 2만 1천명(-29.6%) 감소했다.
비임금근로자 중 자영업자는 1만 5천명(5.3%), 무급가족종사자는 3천명(10.9%) 각각 증가했다.
취업시간대별 취업자에서 취업시간대별 취업자의 전년동월대비 증감을 보면, 36시간 미만 취업자는 36만 3천명으로 52만 7천명(-59.2%) 감소했으나, 36시간 이상 취업자는 133만 8천명으로 55만 5천명(70.7%) 증가했다.
