(브레이크뉴승스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시와 인천문화재단이 15일, 2024년 인천미술은행에서 수집한 소장 작품을 미술은행 기획전시 ‘BUILD YOUR INCHEON(빌드 유어 인천)’ 으로 처음 선보인다고 밝혔다. 

인천문화재단에 따르면, 전시는 2025년 4월 15일부터 27일까지 인천아트플랫폼 E1 전시장에서 개최되며, 인천 예술가 19인의 작업을 통해 도시와 예술이 교차하는 지점을 조망한다.

‘BUILD YOUR INCHEON(빌드 유어 인천)’은 작가에게 인천을 창작 기반으로 삼는 예술적 실천을 제안하고, 관람자에게는 각자의 감각과 시선으로 도시를 구성하고 사유할 기회를 제공한다. 

회화, 사진, 입체, 영상 등 다양한 매체의 작품은 각기 다른 방식으로 동시대성과 지역성이 교차하는 지점을 드러낸다.

특히, 이번 전시는 관람자가 원하는 작품의 이미지를 자유롭게 수집할 수 있도록 구성됐다. 

전시장 곳곳에 비치된 엽서 형식의 작품 이미지를 직접 선택·수집하여, 관람자는 자신만의 방식으로 전시를 구성하고 ‘나만의 스크랩북’을 만든다. 

이를 통해 작품 감상이 단순한 일회성 체험에 그치지 않고, 관람자의 기억과 경험 속에 축적되고 확장되는 예술적 경험으로 이어지기를 기대한다.

인천미술은행은 2005년부터 인천 예술가의 작품을 공모 방식으로 수집해 왔다. 

인천 미술의 다양성은 물론 동시대 미술의 흐름을 살펴볼 수 있는 작품 400여 점을 소장하고 있으며, 공공기관 대여 및 기획전시를 통해 시민에게 일상 속 예술 향유 기회를 제공한다.

또한, 인천문화재단 우리미술관에서 ‘우리들의 이야기’를 주제로 문화나눔 도자기 프로그램 참여자를 모집한다고 밝혔다. 

재단에 따르면, 프로그램은 4월 30일부터 5월 28일까지 우리미술관 교육관에서 진행되며, 인천광역시 동구에 거주하는 성인이라면 누구나 참여할 수 있다.

인천시 동구 만석동에 위치한 우리미술관은 인천의 지역성과 예술성을 고려한 문화예술교육 프로그램과 전시를 매년 운영한다. 

특히, 우리미술관 ‘문화나눔 프로그램’은 누구나 참여할 수 있는 문화예술 교육 프로그램을 목적으로 2016년부터 진행해오고 있다.

올해는 ‘우리들의 이야기’를 주제로 프로그램을 운영한다. 

참여자들은 도자 공예에 관한 기초 지식을 배우고, 다양한 예술 도자(부조) 작품을 제작할 예정이다. 

교육프로그램은 우리미술관 교육관에서 4월 30일부터 5월 28일까지 매주 수요일 총 5회 강의로 운영된다. 

참여 비용은 무료이며, 인천광역시 동구에 거주하는 성인이라면 누구나 참여할 수 있으며 4월 29일까지 유선으로 선착순 신청 가능하다.

Incheon City and Incheon Cultural Foundation announced on the 15th that they will present the collection of works collected by Incheon Art Bank in 2024 for the first time as the Art Bank Planning Exhibition ‘BUILD YOUR INCHEON’.

According to Incheon Cultural Foundation, the exhibition will be held at Incheon Art Platform E1 Exhibition Hall from April 15 to 27, 2025, and will look at the point where the city and art intersect through the works of 19 Incheon artists.

‘BUILD YOUR INCHEON’ proposes artistic practices that use Incheon as a creative base for artists, and provides viewers with an opportunity to construct and contemplate the city with their own senses and perspectives.

Works in various media such as paintings, photographs, three-dimensional works, and videos reveal the point where contemporaneity and regionality intersect in different ways.

In particular, this exhibition is designed so that viewers can freely collect images of the works they want.

By directly selecting and collecting images of postcard-style works placed throughout the exhibition hall, viewers construct the exhibition in their own way and create ‘my own scrapbook.’

Through this, we hope that appreciation of the works will not be a simple one-time experience, but will lead to an artistic experience that accumulates and expands in the memories and experiences of the viewers.

Incheon Art Bank has been collecting works by Incheon artists through a public contest since 2005.

It houses approximately 400 works of art that showcase the diversity of Incheon art as well as the flow of contemporary art, and provides citizens with opportunities to enjoy art in their daily lives through public institution loans and special exhibitions.

In addition, the Incheon Cultural Foundation announced that it is recruiting participants for the Cultural Sharing Ceramics Program with the theme of ‘Our Story.’

According to the foundation, the program will be held at the Education Center of the Incheon Museum of Art from April 30 to May 28, and any adult residing in Dong-gu, Incheon Metropolitan City can participate.

The Incheon Museum of Art, located in Manseok-dong, Dong-gu, Incheon, operates cultural arts education programs and exhibitions that take into account Incheon’s regionality and artistic value every year.

In particular, the Incheon Museum of Art’s ‘Cultural Sharing Program’ has been held since 2016 with the goal of providing cultural arts education programs that anyone can participate in.

This year, the program will be held with the theme of ‘Our Story.’

Participants will learn basic knowledge about ceramic crafts and create various artistic ceramic (relief) works.

The education program will be held in the Education Center of our Art Museum from April 30 to May 28, with a total of 5 lectures every Wednesday.
