브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 유정복 인천시장이 9일 제21대 대통령선거 출마를 공식화 했다. 유 시장은 국민의힘 대선 경선에 참여해 보수 진영 최종 대선후보가 되겠다는 포부다.

유정복 시장은 이날 오전 11시 인천 중구 자유공원 맥아더 동상 앞에서 대통령 출마 선언식을 열고 "자유의 가치를 지키고 무너져 가는 대한민국을 바로 세우기 위한 제2의 인천상륙작전을 감행하겠다"며 대선출마를 공식 선언했다.

그는 "75년 전 불가능하다고 생각했던 인천상륙작전을 성공시켜 오늘의 자유대한민국을 지켜낸 역사의 현장이 바로 이곳"이라며 "저는 제2의 인천상륙작전으로 반드시 대한민국을 바로 세우겠다"고 대선 출정식을 맥아더 동상 앞으로 정한 이유를 먼저 설명했다.
