(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 국립인천대학교 인천강소연구개발특구사업단(이하 인천강소특구, 단장 이희관 교수)이 지난 3일 인천대학교 본관 4층 회의실에서 ‘폐어망 자원화 기술개발 동향 및 사업화 방안 마련’을 주제로 ‘제2회 인천강소특구 기술세미나’를 개최.성료했다고 밝혔다.

인천대에 따르면, 이번 세미나는 인천강소특구의 기술혁신 역량을 강화하고, 폐기물 자원화 분야의 최신 기술을 공유하며, 관련 특구기업과 전문가들이 모여 지역 환경문제 해결을 위한 기술적 솔루션을 모색하고자 마련됐다.

첫 번째 발표는 한국에너지기술연구원 기후변화연구본부 라호원 본부장이 맡아 ‘폐플라스틱 자원화 기술(화학적 재활용)’을 주제로 폐플라스틱의 자원순환 메커니즘과 열분해 기술을 활용한 에너지화 방안에 대해 소개했다.

두 번째 발표에서는 ㈜도시유전 사업본부 이형근 전략기획부문장이 기업이 보유한 ‘친환경적 폐플라스틱 분해 처리 기술’과 현재 진행 중인 사업 사례를 공유하며, 실질적인 사업화 가능성을 제시했다.

세미나에 참석한 한 관계자는 “폐플라스틱 자원화 공정에 대해 깊이 이해할 수 있었고, 열분해를 통해 오일과 가스를 재생산하는 기술이 탄소중립 실현에도 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다”며 소감을 밝혔다.

이희관 단장은 “이번 세미나를 계기로 인천강소특구의 기술이 지역 환경문제 해결에 실질적인 역할을 기대한다”며, “자원의 선순환 체계 구축을 위해 앞으로도 지속적인 기술개발과 협력을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
