(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천해양경찰서가 12일,  고무보트를 타고 중국 산동지역을 출항하여 밀입국을 기도한 외국인 2명을 우리 영해에 들어오기 전에 검거했다고 밝혔다.

인천해경에 따르면, 해상을 통해 밀입국을 시도한 혐의로 중국국적 A씨(30대) 등 2명을 출입국관리법 위반혐의로 긴급체포해 인천출입국외국인청에 인계했다.

특히, 이번 사건은 올해  2월 13일부터 3월 15일까지 해양경찰에서 발령한 특별경계기간 중 검거한 사례이다.

인천해경은 8일 오후 조업 중이던 어선으로부터 소청도 남동방 영해 외측 해상에 수상한 선박이 있다는 사실을 어선안전조업국을 경유 접수하고, 경비함정을 출동시켜 고무보트에 타고 있던 중국인 2명(남자1, 여자1)을 밀입국 시도 혐의로 붙잡았다.

인천해경 조사에 따르면, 이들은 과거 한국에 체류하다가 불법체류 혐의로 체포되어 강제퇴거되자 한국에서 일하고 못받은 임금문제 등을 해결하고자 밀입국하기로 마음먹고 중국에서 고무보트를 구입해 구명조끼, 나침반 등 안전장비를 갖추고 출발한 것으로 밝혀졌다.

또한, 이들은 추가 동승자나 조력자 없이 밀입국을 시도하다 해상기상 악화 및 해무로 방향을 잃어버리고 헤매다 발견되어 검거된 것으로 조사됐다.
