강화경찰서에 따르면, 이번 캠페인은 경찰서장, 강화군수, 교육장 등 관서장과 녹색어머니회, 강화군청·교육지원청, 자원봉사센터, 갑룡초 교장 등 총 60명이 참여하여 어린이들을 위한 보행자 중심의 교통문화를 확산시키고자 실시했다.

갑룡초등학교 교통캠페인은 매달 첫 등교일에 시행해 오는데 개학 첫 날인 금일 유관기관 및 협력단체와 합동으로 캠페인을 진행하면서 어린이보호구역을 통행하는 차량을 대상으로 안전한 학교 등굣길을 만들 수 있도록 홍보물을 배포하는 등 참석자 모두가 초등생들의 안전을 위해 교통안전 행사를 가졌다.
