(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천해양경찰서가 지난 26일 청사 대회의실에서 해양재난구조대 운영위원회 위촉식을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

인천해경에 따르면, 이날 위촉식에는 이천식 서장과 각 과·계장, 해양재난구조대 운영위원 등 20여 명이 참석했다.

인천해경 해양재난구조대 운영위원회는 위원장인 인천해경 경비구조과장을 비롯해 내·외부위원 등 총 7명으로 구성된다.

특히 수색구조 관련 분야와 유관기관 담당자 등이 외부위원으로 참여해 위원회의 전문성을 강화했다.

위원회는 앞으로 해양재난구조대원 위촉을 포함한 조직과 인력 정비 등을 지원할 방침이다.

이천식 서장은 “해양재난구조대 출범에 이어 운영위원회도 구성·운영돼 보다 체계적인 관리와 지원이 이뤄질 것으로 기대된다”며 “다같이 함께 안전한 바다를 만들어 갈 수 있도록 최선을 다해주길 바란다”고 말했다.
