(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천본부세관이 19일, 인천항 해상특송물류센터(이하 센터) 개장 1년을 맞아 그동안의 성과를 분석한 결과, 화물처리시간은 단축되고 불법·부정물품 적발은 증가하는 등 신속하고 안전한 통관 체계를 확립하게 됐다고 밝혔다.

인천본부세관에 따르면, 선박 입항부터 국내 배송을 위한 센터 반출까지 6.3일 이상 소요되던 화물처리시간이 센터 개장 이후에는 4.5일로(30%↓) 단축되어 해외직구 이용 소비자들에게 신속한 배송서비스를 제공할 수 있는 기반이 마련됐다.

인천항 반입물품은 중국발 전자상거래 화물이 대부분(99%)으로, 개장 전 해상특송화물 처리량은 1.8천만건이었으나 개장 후 2.8천만건을 처리하여 53% 증가했다. 

특히 C-커머스 업체들의 공격적 마케팅에 의해 주요 쇼핑몰 반입 물량은 기존 4.9백만건에서 13.7백만건으로 177% 폭증했으나  X-Ray 검색기 증설(6대→11대, +5대) 및 화물자동분류시스템 도입 등 최첨단 장비와 자동화시스템을 보유한 센터의 적기 개장으로 물류 지체 우려에 적기 대응할 수 있었던 것으로 분석됐다.

인천항으로 반입되는 특송화물 집중관리를 통해 불법․부정무역 물품 적발이 9% 증가했으며, 특히 총포·도검류 등 사회안전 위해물품 불법 반입 적발은 큰 폭으로 증가(26.8%)한 것으로 나타났다.

자체시설을 포함한 모든 판독업무를 센터 내 별도 독립공간에 설치한 X-ray 통합 판독실에서 수행하여 판독직원 간 우범화물 정보공유 등 위험관리 능력이 강화됐기 때문으로 보고 있다.

인천본부세관은 인도네시아, 아랍에미리트 등 27개국 관세청 직원을 대상으로 센터의 최신식 시설과 특송화물 통관시스템 견학을 실시하여 선진화된 우리 관세행정의 국제적 위상을 제고했다.
