(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 3일, 2025년 새해를 맞아 지역 사회적경제기업에 대한 금융지원을 지속해 지역경제 활성화에 기여할 계획이다고 밝혔다. 

인천시에 따르면, 이는 지속적인 경기침체로 인해 매출 감소 등 어려움을 겪고 있는 사회적경제기업(사회적기업, 협동조합, 마을기업, 자활기업)들의 경영난 해소를 위한 조치로, 신용보증기금, 인천신용보증재단, 신한은행과 협력해 특례보증을 통한 이차보전(이자지원) 지원을 이어간다는 방침이다.

인천시는 지난 2020년 7월부터 5년간 139개 업체에 총 134억 700만 원의 특례보증 융자를 지원했으며, 이와 함께 5억 7,100만 원의 이차보전을 제공해 왔다.

이러한 금융지원은 지역 사회적경제기업의 재정여건 개선과 경영 안정화에 실질적인 도움을 주었다는 평가를 받고 있다.

이번 지원 대상은 인천시에 본사 또는 주사업장이 위치한 사회적경제기업으로, 신용보증기금과 인천신용보증재단을 통해 보증서를 받은 기업들이다. 

기업 유형에 따라 사회적기업과 협동조합은 최대 3억 원, 마을기업과 자활기업은 최대 1억 원까지 융자를 받을 수 있으며, 융자 후 3년 동안 연 2%의 이차보전 혜택도 제공된다.

이 같은 금융지원은 재정적으로 어려운 사회적경제기업들의 금융 부담을 덜고 경영 개선에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

이번 사업에 신청을 희망하는 사회적경제기업은 사업장 소재지 관할 신용보증기금 영업지점이나 인천신용보증재단 각 지점에서 상담 예약 후 신청하거나 직접 방문해 지원을 받을 수 있다.
