(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 오는 2월 9일까지 ‘새로운 서구 명칭 공모’ 기간을 연장한다고 밝혔다. 

서구에 따르면, 구는 지난 27일이 임시공휴일로 지정됨에 따라, 접수 기간을 연장하기로 했으며 당초 명칭 공모는 1월 마감될 예정이었다.

이번 공모 기간 연장은 설 연휴 등으로 주민이 공모에 참여할 수 있는 기회가 줄어들 수 있다는 의견이 잇따라, 기간 연장을 결정했다. 

서구의 새로운 이름을 찾는 명칭 공모에는, 18세 이상 누구나 참여할 수 있다. 

온라인 신청은 서구 홈페이지 및 이메일로, 방문접수는 서구청 분구추진과 및 관내 동 행정복지센터에서 가능하다.

Incheon Seo-gu announced that it will extend the ‘New Seo-gu Name Contest’ period until February 9th.

According to Seo-gu, the district decided to extend the application period as the 27th was designated as a temporary public holiday, and the name contest was originally scheduled to close in January.

This extension of the contest period was decided due to opinions that residents’ opportunities to participate in the contest may decrease due to the Lunar New Year holidays.

Anyone over the age of 18 can participate in the name contest to find a new name for Seo-gu.

Online applications can be made through the Seo-gu website and email, and in-person applications can be made at the Seo-gu Office Division Promotion Division and the local administrative welfare center.
