(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시 종합건설본부가 오는 7월 13일 오전 9시께, 영종해안순환도로(미단시티 진입도로 1단계)를 전면 개통한다고 밝혔다. 

인천시 종합건설본부에 따르면, 이번 개통은 영종해안순환도로의 마지막 미개통 구간을 연결하는 것으로, 총길이 53.7㎞에 이르는 해안도로 전 구간이 하나로 이어지게 된다.

영종해안순환도로 개설공사는 지난 6월 30일 준공됐으며, 인천시는 유관기관과 합동 점검을 거쳐 정식 개통에 들어간다.

이번 구간은 청라하늘대교에서 미단시티를 연결하는 총연장 2.99㎞, 도로 폭 15m의 왕복 2차로 규모로 조성됐다. 

보행자 도로와 자전거 도로를 함께 갖춘 일반도로로, 차량 이용객은 물론 청라하늘대교를 이용하는 자전거 이용객의 이동 편의도 높일 것으로 기대된다. 

또한, 이번 개통으로 미단시티와 한상드림아일랜드까지의 접근성이 한층 개선되어 영종국제도시 일대의 교통편의 향상은 물론, 경제자유구역 활성화에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

Incheon City to Open Final Section of 'Yeongjong Coastal Circular Road' on the 13th

The Incheon City General Construction Headquarters announced that the Yeongjong Coastal Circular Road (Midan City Access Road Phase 1) will be fully opened around 9:00 AM on July 13.

According to the Incheon City General Construction Headquarters, this opening connects the last unopened section of the Yeongjong Coastal Circular Road, thereby connecting the entire coastal road, which spans a total length of 53.7 km, into a single continuous line.

Construction of the Yeongjong Coastal Circular Road was completed on June 30, and Incheon City will proceed with the official opening following a joint inspection with relevant agencies.

This section was constructed as a two-lane road connecting Cheongna Sky Bridge to Midan City, with a total length of 2.99 km and a width of 15 m.

As a general road equipped with both pedestrian and bicycle paths, it is expected to enhance mobility convenience for both vehicle users and cyclists using Cheongna Sky Bridge.

Furthermore, with this opening, accessibility to Midan City and Hansang Dream Island has been significantly improved, which is expected to contribute to enhancing traffic convenience in the Yeongjong International City area as well as revitalizing the Free Economic Zone.
