(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시 검단구 대곡동 태정마을 주민들은 오는 7월 8일 오전 10시, 태정마을회관에서 태정마을 농업진흥구역 개발 불가 철회를 위한 탄원문 선포식을 연다. 

이날, 지역구 국회의원인 모경종 의원(민주당)에게 대통령실과 인천시청에 제출할 탄원문(사본) 전달식도 갖는다.

태정마을 주민들은 이날 모임 직후, 주민 연명서를 동봉한 탄원문을 대통령실과 인천시청에 우편으로 제출할 예정이며, 태정마을 주민들의 간절한 희망이 정부 요로에 ‘제대로 충실히 전달될 것’을 모경종 의원에게 요청하기로 했다.

태정마을은 검단신도시와 불과 몇 분 거리임에도 여전히 도시가스와 인도는 물론, 충분한 대중교통조차 갖추지 못했다.

태정마을 주민들은 2010년대 후반 들어 민간 도시개발사업을 본격적으로 추진했다. 

그러나 2023년 여름, 농림축산식품부가 태정마을 농업진흥구역에 대해 ‘우량농지 보전’을 이유로 개발이 불가하다고 밝히면서 사업은 진전을 전혀 이루지 못하고 있다.
