(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 민선 9기 박용철 강화군수 취임식이 1일 오전 10시 강화고인돌체육관에서 군민 등 2,000여 명이 참석한 가운데 성황리에 개최됐다.

강화군에 따르면, 이번 취임식은 민선 9기 강화군정의 힘찬 출발을 알리고, 군민과 함께 강화의 새로운 미래를 열어가기 위한 비전과 군정 운영 방향을 공유하는 자리로 마련됐다.

이날 행사에는 배준영 국회의원과 장기천 대한노인회 강화군지회장을 비롯한 주요 인사, 기관·단체장, 각계각층의 군민들이 참석해 민선 9기의 출범을 축하했다.

특히, ‘소통과 화합’을 강조하는 민선 9기 군정 방향에 맞춰 종교계 인사, 청년 창업인, 귀촌인, 어린이, 청소년, 어르신 등 다양한 세대와 계층의 군민들이 함께해 의미를 더했다.

취임식은 지역 주민들이 직접 참여한 다채로운 식전 공연을 시작으로 취임선서, 취임사, 민선 9기 군정 운영 방향에 대한 홍보영상 상영 순으로 진행됐다. 

또한, 군민들의 기대와 희망, 응원의 메시지를 담은 영상이 상영되며 큰 호응을 얻었다.

박용철 군수는 취임사를 통해 “지난 임기 동안 시작했지만 아직 완성하지 못한 변화와 약속을 끝까지 이루겠다”며 “눈앞의 성과에 머무르지 않고, 10년 후, 20년 후에도 옳았다고 평가받을 수 있는 정책을 펼치겠다”고 밝혔다.

박용철 군수는 “교통이 강화의 걸림돌이 아니라 성장의 디딤돌이 되도록 만들겠다”며 교통 인프라 확충의 중요성을 강조했다.

아울러, 강화의 근간인 소상공인과 농축수산업의 성장을 적극 지원해 지역경제의 경쟁력을 높이고, 교육·문화·의료·복지 등 생활 기반을 확충해 군민이 체감할 수 있는 정주 여건을 강화하겠다고 밝혔다.

또한, 군민 참여와 소통을 확대해 주민이 군정의 주인이 되는 행정을 펼치고, 누구도 소외되지 않는 포용의 군정을 실현하겠다는 의지를 전했다.
