(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천원미경찰서가 29일, 시청자나 다른 유튜버들, 기자나 경찰공무원 등 상대, 욕설 등 모욕, 허위사실 유포 명예훼손, 협박을 일삼은 유튜브 채널 운영자 A씨를 검거해 구속 송치했다고 밝혔다.

부천원미서에 따르면, A씨는 주로 본인의 유튜브 라이브 방송에서 반복·상습적으로 피해자들에게 성적 수치심을 주는 발언 및 심한 욕설을 하고, 피해자 얼굴 사진이나 카카오톡 대화 내용을 공개하는 등 개인정보를 유출하기도 했다.

한편, 피해자 관련 존재하지 않는 사실을 아무런 근거 없이 이야기하여 명예를 훼손하거나, 피해자에게 공포감을 주는 글을 써 협박함은 물론, 실제로도 길거리에서 형법상 위험한 물건으로 간주되는 물품을 들고 배회하며 공중에게 불안감과 공포심을 조성하고, 피해자 2명을 직접 만나 위험한 물건을 소지한 상태로 협박하기도 했다.

A씨는 고소장이 접수된 이후에도 방송에서 피해자들을 향한 욕설을 멈추지 않았고, 경찰의 출석요구에도 응하지 않아, 결국 A씨의 소재를 추적한 경찰에 의해 체포됐다.

부천원미경찰서는, 온라인 방송을 통해 타인을 비방하는 콘텐츠로 조회 수나 광고 이익을 얻으려는 행위를 근절하기 위해, A씨의 범죄수익금에 대해서 몰수·추징 보전 신청할 예정이며, 

앞으로도 타인의 명예를 심각하게 훼손하고, 사회적 갈등을 초래할 수 있는 ‘허위정보 관련 범죄’에 대해 엄정한 수사를 이어갈 방침이라고 밝혔다.
