(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 오는 7월 1일 시청 어울마당에서 ‘제24대 조용익 부천시장 취임식’을 시민이 시장을 세우는 의미를 담은 ‘시민임명식’으로 진행된다고 밝혔다.

부천시에 따르면, 이번 시민임명식은 시민이 시정의 주인이자 출발점이라는 시민주권 가치를 반영해, 시민과 함께 새로운 시정의 시작을 알리기 위해 마련됐다.

행사에서는 경제, 안전, 복지, 문화, 교통 등 시정 10대 분야 주요 공약을 상징하는 시민대표 10명이 무대에 올라 시민을 대표해 시민임명장을 전달할 예정이다.

시민대표는 공약 수혜자와 정책 참여자, 현장 종사자 등 각 분야의 대표성과 상징성을 고려해 선정했으며, 청년, 노인, 기업인, 노동자 등 다양한 계층이 참여해 폭넓은 시민사회의 목소리를 담는다.

시민대표가 전달하는 시민임명장은 시민의 이름으로 부천시장을 임명한다는 의미를 담고 있다.
