인천본부세관에 따르면, 이번  인천세관인으로 선정된 임상섭 주무관은 수입통관 과정에서 적발된 단순 원산지표시 위반사건을 분석하여 조직적 원산지 세탁 행위 가능성을 포착하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 수사 범위를 확대하여 30억 원대의 국산으로 가장한 수출을 적발함으로써 무역안보 교란행위 차단에 기여한 공로로 선정됐다.

업무 분야별 유공자로는, 물류감시분야 유공자에 우범 이사화물을 자체 선별하여 X-RAY 판독 및 개장검사를 통해 활성화탄, 모의총포 등 국민안전 위해물품을 연속 적발하여 국민 건강 보호에 기여한 공로로 한재일 주무관이 선정됐다.

심사분야 유공자에 수입 가격을 낮추는 글로벌 기업의 전형적인 조세 회피 수단에 대해 실제지급가격임을 입증하여 약 78억원의 심판청구 기각 결정에 기여한 공로로 김수현 주무관이 선정됐다.
