(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 17일, 60세 이상 숙련 인력의 고용 연장을 통해 제조업 분야 중소기업의 구인난을 완화하기 위한 ‘정년퇴직자 고용연장 중소기업 지원사업’을 시행하고, 참가기업을 모집한다고 밝혔다.

인천시에 따르면, 이 사업은 인천 관내 제조업 분야 중소기업이 60세 정년퇴직자를 2년 이상 계속 고용하거나 신규 채용하는 경우, 1인당 월 30만 원씩 최대 1년간 지원금을 사업주에게 지급하는 방식이다. 

기업은 고용보험 가입 인원의 10% 이내에서 최대 10명까지 지원받을 수 있으며, 10인 미만 사업장의 경우 최대 2명까지 지원이 가능하며 지원금은 3개월마다 근무 상황을 확인한 후 기업에 지급된다.

한편, 인천시는 2019년부터 제조업 분야 중소기업의 인력난 해소를 위해 정년퇴직자 고용 연장 지원사업을 매년 추진해 왔다. 

특히 매년 300명 이상을 지원하며 기업의 인력 확보와 경제적 부담 완화에 기여하고 있다. 

올해부터는 기존 60~64세였던 지원 연령을 60세 이상으로 확대해 연령 제한을 폐지했다.

신청 기간은 3월 17일부터 예산이 소진될 때까지이며, 사업 참여를 희망하는 기업은 인천 중소기업 지원포털 비즈오케이를 통해 신청할 수 있다.
