(브레이이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 오는 3월 4일부터 3월 31일까지 노후 경유차 조기 폐차 지원 신청을 받는다고 밝혔다.

인천시에 따르면, 올해 약 6,135대의 노후된 경유차와 건설기계를 대상으로 총 217억 원을 투입해 조기 폐차 보조금을 지원할 계획이다.

지원 대상은 배출가스 5등급 모든 차량(연료 무관), 배출가스 4등급 경유 차량, 2009년 8월 31일 이전 배출허용기준을 적용받고 제작된 도로용 3종 건설기계(덤프트럭, 콘크리트믹서트럭, 콘크리트펌프트럭),  2004년 이전 제작된 지게차 또는 굴착기다. 

지원 우선순위는 5등급 차량, 노후 건설기계, 저소득층 차량, 제작일자가 오래된 차량 순으로 선정된다.

올해부터는 지원 대상이 기존의 배출가스 5등급 경유차에서 휘발유, LPG 등 5등급 모든 차량으로 확대된다. 

또한, 총중량 3.5톤 미만의 5등급 차량의 경우 폐차만 해도 차량 가액의 100%를 지원받으며, 신차를 구매하면 추가로 50%를 지원받을 수 있다.

아울러, 인천시는 지난해 선착순 접수로 인해 일부 신청자가 다수의 물량을 선점해 예산이 조기에 소진된 문제점을 개선하고자, 올해는 1인 1대 우선 지원한 후 여유 예산이 있을 경우 1인 기준 다수 차량을 추가적으로 지원할 방침이다. 

현재 인천에서 운행 중인 5등급 차량은 약 2,000대로, 인천시는 5등급 차량에 대한 조기 폐차를 적극 유도할 계획이다.
