(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 13일, 도림동 일대 노후 저층 주거지의 정주 환경 개선이 추진된다고 밝혔다.

남동구에 따르면 남촌도림동 주민자치회가 제안한 도림동 661-11번지 일원이 인천시가 추진하는 2025년 행복마을 가꿈사업 대상지로 조건부 선정됐다.

사업 기간은 올해부터 2027년까지 3년으로, 사업 내용을 보완해 하반기부터 본격적인 사업을 추진할 예정이다.

행복마을 가꿈사업은 저층 주거지 밀집지 등에 기반시설 및 공동이용시설을 정비해 주거환경 개선을 지원하는 사업으로, 주민자치회가 직접 제안․신청한다.

사업 대상지는 다세대주택과 빌라, 단독주택 등이 밀집 있는 지역으로, 노령인구가 다수임에도 변변한 기반시설이 없는 실정이었다.

이에 남촌도림동 주민자치회는 문화체육시설과 주민 공동이용시설을 확충해 주민 삶의 질을 높이는 계획을 제안, 행복마을 가꿈사업 대상지로 선정되는 성과를 거뒀다.

특히, 이번 성과는 공모 선정을 위해 주민자치회를 중심으로 지역 내 자생 단체와 유관기관, 지역 정치권이 똘똘 뭉쳐 이뤄낸 결과이다.
