(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 한국농수산식품유통공사(이하 aT)가 최근  서울 피스앤파크 컨벤션에서 안전문화 활성화를 위해 행정안전부(장관 직무대행 고기동)와 ‘안전문화 사회공헌활동 업무협약’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

aT에 따르면, 지난 7일 진행된 협약식에는 aT를 비롯해 행정안전부, 한국도로공사, 인천국제항공공사, 한국마사회 등 총 29개 기관들이 참여했다.

협약 기관들은 기관별 전문성과 인프라를 활용해 업무와 연속성이 있는 계획 수립과 안전문화 활동을 적극 추진 등으로 안전문화 확산에 적극 힘을 합치기로 뜻을 모았다. 

행정안전부가 주관한 2024년 안전문화대상 단체부문 수상기관으로 이번 협약에 참여한 aT는 앞으로도 안전교육,  안전 취약계층 안전 점검과 개선,  안전문화 캠페인 등 다양한 안전문화 사회공헌활동을 펼칠 예정이다.

한편, aT는 전 사업장 대상 안전보건경영시스템 인증, 위험성 평가 우수사업장 인정 등을 획득하고, 찾아가는 안전 점검 지원반 운영과 지역사회 취약계층 안전 봉사활동, 집중호우 피해 복구 등을 지원하며 국민의 안전 확보에 힘써왔다.

홍문표 aT 사장은 “안전은 농어촌·농어민(축산)을 비롯한 국민들의 생명과 직결되는 중요한 가치”라며 “aT는 5200만 국민의 먹거리 안전을 책임지는 공공기관으로서, 사회 전반의 안전문화 확산에도 무거운 책임감을 가지고 최선을 다할 것”이라고 말했다.

Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (hereinafter aT) recently announced at the Seoul Peace & Park Convention that it signed a ‘Safety Culture Social Contribution Activities Business Agreement’ with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (Acting Minister Ko Ki-dong) to promote safety culture.

According to aT, a total of 29 organizations including aT, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Korea Expressway Corporation, Incheon International Airport Corporation, and Korea Racing Authority participated in the agreement ceremony held on the 7th.

The agreement organizations agreed to actively join forces to spread safety culture by utilizing each organization’s expertise and infrastructure to establish plans with continuity in their work and actively promote safety culture activities.

aT, which participated in this agreement as the winner of the 2024 Safety Culture Awards organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, plans to continue various safety culture social contribution activities such as safety education, safety inspections and improvements for vulnerable groups, and safety culture campaigns.

Meanwhile, aT has been striving to secure the safety of the people by obtaining safety and health management system certification for all workplaces, recognition as an excellent workplace for risk assessment, operating a safety inspection support team that visits, safety volunteer activities for vulnerable groups in local communities, and supporting recovery from heavy rain damage.
