(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 지난 6일, 유정복 인천시장이 남동구청을 방문해 구민들과 대화의 시간을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

남동구에 따르면, 이번 방문은 구정 현안 논의, 구의회 및 기자실 차담회, 남동구민과 함께 하는 주민과의 대화인 ‘생생톡톡 애인(愛仁)소통’ 순으로 진행됐다.

구정 현안 논의에선 만수천 하천 복원사업, 인천지하철 2호선 논현 연장, 중앙공원 실개천·맨발 산책로 조성, 만월쉼터 지하 주차장 규모 확대 추진 건의 등 남동구 현안에 대한 논의가 이뤄졌다.

이어 ‘생생톡톡 애인(愛仁)소통’ 행사는 남동구민 500여 명이 참석한 가운데 2025년 시정 운영 방향과 남동구의 미래 청사진을 공유하는 시간으로 진행됐다.

유 시장은 이 자리에서 저출산 대책인 1억 플러스 아이드림 사업 등 역점사업을 소개하며, GTX-B 등 교통망 개선과 남동국가산단 활성화, 88올림픽 기념생활관 시설개선 등 남동구민을 위한 사업을 차질 없이 추진하겠다고 말했다.

이어 구민 건의 사항으로 인천가족공원 인접도로 정체 등 생활 불편에 관한 이야기를 들으며, 이용 현황과 주변 현황을 검토해 개선책을 찾겠다고 말했다.

박종효 구청장은 “남동구를 찾아주셔서 감사드리며, 글로벌 탑텐이 될 인천시를 위해 남동구도 주민들과 함께 가장 중요한 역할을 하겠다”고 전했다. 

유정복 시장은 행사 후 페이스북을 통해 "남동구민의 압도적인 관심과 참여 속에 열기로 가득했던 연두 방문 소통의 시간을 잊지 않겠다"라며 "남동구가 교통과 문화 산업의 중추적 기능을 다하도록 해 더 큰 남동구와 시민 행복의 인천을 만들어갈 것"이라고 말했다.
