(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 최근 과학기술정보통신부 지정 국가 공인 인증기관에서 인천시교육청 대표 및 부서 특화 누리집, 관내 특수교육기관 누리집에 대한 웹 접근성 품질 인증을 획득했다고 밝혔다.

인천시교육청에 따르면, 웹 접근성 품질 인증은 장애인, 고령자 등 정보취약계층이 불편 없이 누리집을 이용할 수 있도록 웹 접근성 지침을 95% 이상 준수하고 전문가와 장애인 사용자 등의 심사를 통과한 우수 누리집에 부여하는 인증 제도다.

인증을 획득한 기관은 시각장애 학교인 인천혜광학교를 비롯해 인천성동학교, 인천서희학교, 인천은광학교 등 특수학교 4곳과 인천시교육청, 인천특수교육지원센터, 학부모꿈디교육, 학생안전체험관 등 총 8곳이다.

인천시교육청은 본청 및 학교 누리집을 통합 운영하며 웹 접근성 준수율을 95% 이상으로 유지하도록 수시 점검하고 조치하고 있다. 

또,  특수교육기관 누리집에 대한 웹 접근성 인증 획득을 단계적으로 추진하고 있으며, 이번에 심사받은 8곳 모두 평균 준수율 100%를 받아 인증 마크를 획득했다.

인천시교육청 관계자는 “인천교육청은 누구나 쉽게 정보에 접근할 수 있도록 웹 접근성 품질을 지속해서 유지할 것”이라며 “앞으로 시각 장애인의 정보 제공을 보장하기 위해 음성 지원 기능을 누리집에 적용할 예정”이라고 말했다.
