(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천본부세관이 14일, 인천세관 통합검사센터 지정장치장에 여행자를 위한 일시수출입차량 전용 검사장을 설치했다고 밝혔다..

인천세관에 따르면, 일시수출입차량 통관이란,  '도로교통에 관한 협약(Convention on Road Traffic, Geneva, 19 September 1949'체약국 자동차를 일시 출입국자가 본인이 사용하기 위해 일시 수출입하는데 따른 통관절차를 말한다.

기존 여행자 차량 검사 장소로 이용하던 인천세관 제2지정장치장은 업무처리부서와의 거리가 멀고, 다수의 수입 화물이 산재해 혼잡한 상태에서 대형 화물차량과 중장비 이동으로 검사 시 안전 위협에 노출되어 있으며, 일시 수출 차량은 검사를 위한 반입이 불가하여 그동안 민원인들의 불만이 지속 제기되어 왔다.

하춘호 통관감시국장은, 이번 전용 차량 검사장 설치로 통관 소요 시간이 평균 3시간에서 20분 내외로 크게 단축되어 신속한 통관서비스 제공이 가능해지고 검사 직원과 입회 민원인의 안전사고를 예방할 수 있게 되었다고 설명하면서 이런 노력이 여행객 유치나 우리나라 관광경쟁력 강화에 기여할 것으로 기대한다고 말했다.
