(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 수도권매립지관리공사(사장 송병억, 이하 SL공사)가 13일 ‘2024년 인천 공공기관 혁신네트워크와 함께하는 사회서비스 지원사업’ 기금수여식을 인천시사회적경제지원센터 세미나실에서 개최했다고 밝혔다.

SL공사에 따르면, 해당 사업은 수도권매립지관리공사가 ESG 경영 기반의 지역상생을 위해 추진한 것으로 사회적 약자 대상 복지·돌봄 서비스 등을 공급하는 사회적경제기업에게 인천 공공기관 혁신네트워크의 공동기금을 지원하며 사업운영은 인천광역시사회적경제지원센터가 담당한다.

이번 지원사업 공모를 통해 다문화·교통약자 사회서비스 제공기업 1개사, 취약계층(청년·여성 등) 일자리 지원기업 1개사, 소셜벤처 1개사 등 총 3개 기업을 선정하였으며 선정 기업당 1천만원의 사업비를 지원받아 사회서비스 사업을 수행할 예정이다.

김두환 수도권매립지관리공사 기획본부장은 “이번 지원사업이 인천지역 사회문제 해결과 소셜벤처 기업 활성화에 기여할 수 있는 계기가 되기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 혁신네트워크 참여기관, 인천광역시사회적경제지원센터와 함께 지역사회와 상생할 수 있는 다양한 방법을 모색하겠다”고 말했다.

인천 공공기관 혁신네트워크는 수도권매립지관리공사, 인천국제공항공사, 인천항만공사, 한국환경공단 4개사로 구성된 공공 협의체로, 매년 지역사회와 상생하기 위한 다양한 ESG 기반의 공동 사업을 추진하고 있다.

한편, 사회서비스 지원사업의 원활한 추진을 위해 지난 3월 22일 인천 공공기관 혁신네트워크와 인천시사회적경제지원센터, (사)한국마이크로크레디트 신나는조합은 ‘인천지역 사회서비스 강화를 위한 업무추진 협약’을 체결한 바 있다.
