(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천창조경제혁신센터가 지난 18일 인천시와 함께 조성한 투자 유치 플랫폼 ‘빅웨이브(BiiG Wave)’의 하반기 프로그램에 참여할 스타트업 10곳이 최종 선정됐다고 밝혔다. 

인천센터에 따르면,  지난 한 달간 이 프로그램에 지원한 전국 각지의 스타트업 223개를 대상으로 심사를 진행한 끝에 성장 가능성이 높다고 판단되는 10개사 선정을 18일에 마쳤다. 

인천센터는 22:1의 경쟁률을 보인 이번 기업 심사에서 바이오, 헬스케어, AI 등 다양한 분야의 스타트업을 선정했다. 

또, 그래핀을 이용한 뇌파 기록 및 자극 솔루션을 개발하여 동물 임상 실험을 진행 중인 지브레인(대표 양성구, 김병관)과 초음파 음향 데이터와 AI기술을 활용해 기기의 고장 여부를 판단하고 예측하는 솔루션 개발 업체 모빅랩(대표 이원근) 등이 이에 포함됐다. 

이번 선정 기업은 인천센터가 운영하는 펀드와 투자사로부터 직접적인 투자 유치 기회를 갖게 되며, 오는 26일 기업 진단을 시작으로 투자 역량 강화 프로그램, 빅웨이브 IR 및 네트워킹 데이, 직간접 투자기회 연계 등의 지원을 받는다.

한편, ‘빅웨이브’는 대규모 펀드를 토대로 전국의 유망 스타트업을 발굴하고 육성하여 투자까지 진행하고 있다.

올해 상반기 사업에는 20:1의 경쟁률을 뚫은 10개사가 참여했으며, 현재까지 이 중 4개사가 290억 원의 투자금을 확보했다.
