(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 27일 도성훈 교육감이 인천시의회 임시회 제4차 본회의에 참석해 교육감이 “학교폭력 발생 시 표면적으로 드러난 문제 해결에 급급하지 않고, 피해 학생이 자존감을 회복하고 일상으로 복귀 가능한 지원방안을 마련하겠다”고 말했다고 밝혔다.

인천시교육청은 그동안 등교 제한으로 인해 학생들 간 바람직한 관계 맺기와 소통 공감 교육의 기회가 줄어든 것을 학교폭력의 원인으로 파악하고, 사회정서학습에 기반한 인천형 학교폭력 예방 대책을 시행한다.

또, 552교에 학교폭력 전담 기구와 학교폭력 책임교사를 지정해 학교폭력예방교육과 사안 처리‧상담 등을 실시하고, 본청과 교육지원청에 장학사, 변호사 등 총 40명의 학교폭력 대응 전담 인력을 배치·지원한다.

도 교육감은 “학교폭력 징후 발견 또는 사안 발생 시 교원이 신속하게 조기 개입해 우선적으로 피해 학생을 보호한다”며 “학생의 피해 정도에 맞춰 전문적으로 지원하며, 피해 학생이 치유과정에서 등교하지 못하는 경우 출석으로 인정하는 등 불이익을 당하지 않도록 조치하고 있다”고 설명했다.

이어 “올해 학교폭력을 조기 신고하는 어플리케이션을 개발‧배포할 예정”이라며 “향후 교원과 학부모, 마을교육활동가, 유관기관 관계자 등을 학교폭력 전문가로 양성하는 프로그램을 마련해 단위 학교의 학교폭력 예방과 대응, 사후관리를 지속적으로 지원하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
