(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천대학교 인천공공성플랫폼이 오는 9일 오후 2시 인천대학교 컨벤션센터 108호에서 “공공의료 발전 및 공공의대 설립의 정책적 방안모색” 에 관한 토론회를 개최한다고 밝혔다. 

인천대에 따르면, 인천공공성플랫폼은 2018년 9월 20일에 인천지역 의료공공성 확대를 위한 토론회로 2019년 10월 22일에는 지역 책임의료기관의 확대와 지역 의료공공성의 향상방안에 관한 토론회를 통해 인천지역의 공공의료 현실과 제2의료원의 필요성에 대해 2차례 걸쳐 토론한 바 있다.

이번 3번째 토론회에서는 공공의료의 실질적 발전방안으로 한국의 현안 진단과 공공의대 정책의 가능성을 대안으로 모색 한다.

이날 행사는 인천대 김철홍(산업경영공학과 교수) 인천공공성플랫폼 단장이 좌장을 맡아 진행할 예정이며, 인천광역시의료원 조승연 원장은 “한국의 공공의료 현황과 발전방안의 모색”, 서울시립대 임준 교수는 “공공의대 설립을 위한 정책적 방안 모색”이라는 주제로 발표할 계획이다.

이어 인천시의회 문화복지위원회 장성숙 의원, 인천경실련 김송원 사무처장과 인천YMCA 차성수 사업국장, 조상열 인천광역시 보건의료정책과 사무관이 공공의료 발전과 공공의대 설립의 정책적 방안 등을 함께 논의할 예정이다.

한편, 인천대학교는 공공의대 설립을 위한 시민 서명운동과 입법 활동, 5월 범시민 조직을 출범하고자 준비단 구성 등을 진행하고 있으며 앞으로 공공의대 설립에 대학이 적극 지원할 계획이다.
