(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부평구가 3일 무단방치차량·무보험운행 사건 근절에 나선다고 밝혔다.

부평구에 따르면,  부평구청 소속 특별사법경찰이 도로에 무단으로 방치해 강제 폐차되게 한 행위나 의무보험에 가입하지 않고 차량을 운행한 불법 행위자에 대해 적극적인 수사를 진행한다.

지역에는 아직도 일명 ‘대포차’ 등 차량이 정상적으로 폐차·말소되지 않은 차량과 무보험 차량 등이 구민들의 안전을 위협하고 있다.

이에 따라 부평구 특사경은 불법 행위자 조사를 위해 교통법규위반, 보험가입·계약, 번호판영치, 각종 체납액 내역 추적조사 등 다각적인 방법으로 수사를 진행한다는 방침이다.

이번 대대적인 수사 외에도 무단방치차량 단속 안내문 및 의무(책임)보험 가입촉구 안내문 9만7천 매를 책임보험자 미가입자 및 구청 민원실, 동 행정복지센터에 배부하고, 부평구청 누리집 등 다양한 매체를 활용해 주민홍보를 추진할 계획이다.

또, 의무보험 가입촉구 통보는 필수 1회뿐만 아니라 3회에 걸쳐 안내해 의무보험 가입률을 높이고, 사고 발생에 따른 사회적 손실을 줄이기 위해 다각적으로 노력한다는 방침이다.
