(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 지난 31일 공약사항 추진상황 보고회를 통해 민선 8기 공약사항에 대한 그간의 추진상황을 점검했다고 밝혔다. 다.

현재 민선 8기 남동구는 생활밀착형 복지환경 조성, 활기찬 경제 · 양질의 일자리 창출, 삶의 여유가 있는 남동 실현, 도시 · 교통 인프라 구축, 자연 친화형 도심 휴게 · 정주 환경 개선의 5개 중점과제 아래 42개의 세부 공약사업을 추진 중이다.

아울러,  세부 공약사업 중 남동 국가산업단지의 구조 고도화를 추진하기 위한 소재·부품·장비의 실증화 지원센터 건립의 경우 지난해 12월 문을 열며 이행률 100%를 달성했으며, 산단 기업들의 경쟁력 강화에 크게 도움이 될 것으로 기대를 모으고 있다.

보고회에서 박종효 구청장은 도심 속 생태하천을 복원해 주민들에게 아름다운 친수공간을 조성하기 위한 만수천 복원 사업에 대해 공직자들에게 치밀하고 적극적인 자세로 추진할 것을 주문하기도 했다.

또한, 남동구가 1일 남동구 교육혁신지구 사업의 일환으로 ‘2023년 남동마을학교’운영자를 모집한다고 밝혔다.

남동구에 따르면, 남동마을학교 운영 사업은 마을의 다양하고 우수한 인적, 물적 자원을 활용해 공교육을 보완하고, 학생들에게 미래사회에 필요한 역량 증진을 위한 사업이다.

신청대상은 지역 내 초․중학생을 대상으로 방과 후 활동과 연계한 프로그램을 운영을 할 수 있는 남동구 소재 학습동아리(3인 이상) 또는 단체(비영리단체, 협동조합, 사회적기업 등)로, 프로그램 운영과 돌봄을 수행할 수 있는 일정 공간을 보유한 곳이면 신청이 가능하다.

공모 신청․접수는 오는 2~20일이며, 운영자 선발은 마을학교 심사위원회 심의를 통해 3월쯤 최종 선발될 예정이다.

남동구는 올해 실질적인 방과 후 수업과 돌봄이 가능한 평일과 방학 기간 운영이 가능한 마을 학교를 우선적으로 선발할 계획이다.
