(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 지난 11월 30일 조용익 부천시장이 국회에서 김진표 국회의장과 면담을 갖고 ‘구청 복원(설치) 및 일반동 전환’ 등 부천시 현안사업에 대해 국회 차원의 적극적 관심과 지원을 요청했다고 밝혔다.

부천시에 따르면, 이날 면담에서 조용익 시장은 김진표 의장에게 시민중심 행정체제 개편을 위한 구청 복원(설치) 및 일반동 전환 승인, 대장 3기 신도시 개발과 연계한 환경기초시설 현대화를 위한 LH의 사업비 부담, 7호선 부천구간 운영 중재, 서부권광역급행철도(GTX-D)의 원활한 추진, 김포공항 주변 고도제한 완화 추진 등을 국회에서 적극 협조해 줄 것을 요청했다.

또 고물가, 고금리, 고환율로 인한 3고 민생위기 상황에 대한 우려를 전하며 골목상권과 전통시장에 활력을 불어넣고 지역경제를 살리는 지역화폐 예산 등 내년도 예산안 심사과정에서 민생예산 확보를 위해 노력해줄 것을 건의했다.

조용익 부천시장은 광역동 체제의 일반동 전환과 관련해  “행정서비스와 효율성 강화라는 긍정적 취지에도 불구하고 광역동제 도입으로 사회적 약자의 행정기관 방문 접근성이 떨어지고, 마을단위 활동이 위축되어 재난이나 위기 상황 시 즉시 대응하는 시스템이 무너졌다”면서 “2024년 1월 1일부터 구청 복원(설치) 및 일반동 전환 체제가 시행될 수 있도록 국회의 적극적인 관심을 바란다”고 강조했다.
