(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천서부경찰서(서장 임실기)가  16일 30여년간 경찰조직에 헌신하고 지난해 6월 퇴직한 김금빈 前 인천삼산경찰서 생활안전계장을 ‘자율방범 자문관(어드바이저)’으로 위촉 했다.

 
자율방범 자문관은 인사혁신처 주관 퇴직공무원 사회공헌사업으로, 경찰청은 퇴직경찰관을 ‘자율방범 자문관’으로 위촉하여 방범활동코칭 및 민원상담 등을 수행하는 사업으로 2018년 충북청에서 사업을 시작하여 2019년 전국으로 확대 운영, 2022년에는 전국 총 9명을 배정(인천, 울산, 경기남부, 강원, 전북, 전남, 경남, 부산, 광주)해 운영 중이다.

 
김금빈 자율방범 자문관은 인천서부경찰서를 중심 경찰서로 하여 인접 경찰서까지 방범활동의 전문성을 갖춘 퇴직경찰관의 노하우를 교육을 통해 자율방범대에 전수, 지역사회 안전을 위해 자율방범활동을 수행 중인 자율방범대가 더 체계적이고 효율적으로 활동을 할 수 있도록 하는 방범활동코칭과 더불어 지역주민을 대상으로 범죄피해 상담, 고소·고발 절차 등 생활에 필요한 법률지식을 전달하는 등의 민원상담의 역할을 수행할 예정이다.

임실기 인천서부경찰서장은 “이번 자율방범 자문관 위촉을 통해 경찰 근무 경험을 바탕으로 한 전문지식 전수와 교육으로 자율방범대의 역량 강화를 위해 힘써줄 것”을 당부했고, 이에 김금빈 자율방범 자문관은 “지역 공동체 치안역량을 한층 높일 수 있도록 경찰과 자율방범대의 가교역할에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
