(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 이준석 당대표가 지난 16일 오후 7시30분 계산역 사거리에서 인천 계양을 보궐선거 윤형선 후보를 만나 격려와 응원의 말을 전달했다.

수많은 지지자들과 당원들이 모인 가운데, 이준석 당대표, 배준영 인천시당 위원장, 유정복 인천시장 후보 등이 방문해 윤형선 후보에 대해 격려하고 응원했다.

이준석 대표는 “인천 계양의 윤형선 후보가 하고 있는 고민들 덕분에 계양 분위기가 좋은 것 같다”며, “유정복 후보, 윤형선 후보에게 배운 이야기를 하겠다”고 입을 뗐다.

이 대표는 “인천은 세계적인 국제도시, 차세대 성장동력이 될 도시이며, 계양은 가장 젊은 사람들이 하는 기회의 땅”이라며, “인천은 가능성은 무궁무진하다. 공항과 철도와 도로가 다같이 있는곳”이라며, “교통, 인프라, 산업과 일자리 등에 대한 정책을 인천전문가와 함께 만들어 가겠다”고 강조했다.

국민의힘 윤형선 후보는 이준석 대표, 배준영 시당위원장 방문에 진심으로 감사를 표하며, “이번선거는 공정과 상식 대 범죄 피의자 선거 대결”, “이번선거는 계양의 자존심과 분당에서 도망쳐온 피의자의 대결”이라며, “이번선거는 25년간 계양을 지키고 고민해본 후보와 단 25일 언제 계양을 도망갈지 모르는 사람과의 대결”이라고 말했다.
