(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 계양구의회(의장 김유순)가 16일 의회 의장실에서 신규 채용한 정책지원관에 대한 임용장을 교부했다.

이번에 채용된 정책지원관은 의원의 의정 활동을 위한 조례 제·개정, 행정사무감사, 예산·결산 심의 등을 지원하고 의정 자료의 수집·분석 등의 역할을 수행한다.
 

김유순 의장은 “올해부터 시행되는 정책지원관 제도의 첫걸음을 함께 내딛게 되어 뜻깊게 생각한다”며, “유능한 전문 인력 확보로 지방의회 의정활동의 전문성과 신뢰성이 더욱 강화될 것이라 기대된다”고 말했다.

앞으로 계양구의회는 이번에 임용한 정책지원관에 이어 향후 의원들의 의정 활동을 도울 나머지 3명의 정책지원관을 순차적으로 확충해 나갈 계획이다

또한, 계양구의회가 지난 13일 계양고등학교 방송반 동아리 학생 14명의 방문을 시작으로 코로나로 인해 운영이 중단했던‘청소년의회 체험 프로그램’을 재개했다.

 
이날 실시한 의회 체험 프로그램은 영상시청, 의회 견학, 모의의회 등의 프로그램을 통해 민주적이고 합리적인 의사결정 과정을 직접 체험하며 지방의회의 역할과 기능을 이해를 돕기 위해 마련됐다.

 
본회의 진행은 참가 학생들이 역할 분담과 본회의 진행을 통해 의사보고, 5분 자유발언 및 안건제안 설명, 찬반 토론을 한 후 의결했다.

 
청소년의회 체험 프로그램은 관내 초ㆍ중ㆍ고등학생들을 대상으로 2016년부터 의회 견학과 체험 프로그램을 운영해 왔으며, 2019년 계양구의회 청소년의회 운영에 관한 조례가 제정됨에 따라 청소년의회 활성화를 위해 예산 등을 지원할 예정이다.
