(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 한국농수산식품유통공사(이하 aT) 김춘진 사장이 지난 12일 서울가락농수산물도매시장 봄배추 경매 현장을 찾아 주요 농산물의 품질과 시장동향 그리고 수급상황을 점검하는 등 국민 먹거리 안전관리에 나섰다.

 
현장에서 김사장은 “배추는 저온창고 보관시 온도․습도․풍향 등의 관리 여하에 따라 품질이 결정된다”며, “앞으로는 배추 보관․운송 과정을 철저히 관리하여 국민식생활 위해요인을 개선하는 등 품질 관리를 철저히 해줄 것”을 당부했다.

 
한편, 공사는 지난 4월 배추가격이 평년대비 높게 형성되자 이달 초까지 일일 50톤 내외의 양질의 배추를 서울가락농수산물도매시장에 방출해 물가안정에 기여했다.

국내 최대 공영도매시장인 서울가락농수산물도매시장에서 지난해 거래된 배추와 무는 각각 약 134천톤과 182천톤 정도로, 전국 32개 공영 농산물도매시장 전체 거래물량 중 각각 40%와 43%를 차지했다.

 
이어, 13일 새벽 서울 양재동 화훼공판장을 방문해 ‘가정의 달’인 5월 최대 성수기를 맞은 절화류의 야간 경매현장에서 화훼 품위와 출하상황을 점검했다.
