(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 국민의힘 유제홍 부평구청장 후보는 6·1지방선거 후보 등록을 마치고 본격적인 선거전에 돌입했다.

12일, 유 후보는 손철운 선대본부장과 함께 부평구선거관리위원회를 직접 방문해 후보 등록을 마쳤다고 밝혔다.

이로써, 오는 6·1 지방선거에서는 인천 부평구청장 자리를 놓고 현 차준택 구청장과 유제홍 전 시의원이 한판승부를 펼치게 됐다.

유제홍 후보는“이번에야 말로 더민주에게 빼앗겼던 12년의 허송세월을 국민의힘에서 기필코 돼 찾아와 부평경제 발전에 선봉장이 되겠다“는 각오를 밝혔다.

이어서 “부평경제 부흥을 일으킬 적임자는 ‘유제홍’ 이라는데 대부분의 구민들이 인식을 같이하고 있다며 이번 선거에 승리”를 자신했다.

손철운 선대위원장은 “아마도 부평지역이 이번 선거에서 인천지역을 통틀어 가장 치열한 접전지역으로 예측되고 있다며, 공정과 상식을 벗어난 민주당 정권과 12년동안 부평을 인천에서 빈민가로 전략시킨 책임을 이번 선거를 통해 구민들이 심판할 것이라는데 믿어 의심치 않는다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 중앙선거관리위원회는 12~13일 이틀 동안 후보자 등록 신청을 받는다. 선거운동기간은 19일부터 31일까지다.

22일에는 투표안내문 및 선거공보가 발송되고 사전투표는 27~28일 양일간 치러진다.
