(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 정부 ‘그린뉴딜’ 정책의 지역 역점 과제로 인천시가 추진하고 있는 ‘인천 에코사이언스파크 강소연구개발특구’(이하 강소특구) 조성사업이 2022년도 국비예산 반영을 계기로 재점화 되면서 지난 18일 인천시 서구 일원에서 특구지정심사를 위한 현장실사가 진행됐다.

15명으로 구성된 강소특구전문가위원들은 배후공간 및 기술핵심기관 현황 등을 확인하기 위해 인천시 서구 오류동 일대를 방문하여 배후공간인 환경산업연구단지, 종합환경연구단지, 폐자원에너지타운, 검단2산업단지에 대한 현황 청취 및 현장 확인을 실시하고 기술핵심기관인 국립인천대학교로 이동해 질의응답을 진행했다.

강소특구는 지방자치단체에 위치한 대학, 연구소, 공기업 등 거점 기술 핵심기관을 중심으로 소규모‧고밀도 집약 공간을 R&D특구로 지정‧육성하는 제도이다.
