-Break News Incheon Reporter Park Sang-do
Bucheon City will introduce ‘Clean Village Service’ as part of the Smart City Challenge project from the 3rd.
Bucheon City plans to operate the official service from January 1, 2022, after undergoing a pilot service and publicity period by the end of this year.
The garbage problem has become a chronic urban problem, such as being selected as the first place in the illegal dumping of garbage as a result of a resident survey on urban issues (2018. 12.), and ranked first in the environmental field civil complaints through a comprehensive analysis of Internet complaints (for the past 3 years).
Bucheon City plans to promote ‘Clean Village Service’ to solve and eradicate this garbage problem, and build a database (DB) on garbage with citizen participation to create a clean village.
The 'Clean Village Service' is linked to the safety report in the Smart City Pass app to provide an environmental service so that citizens can directly collect and provide garbage data, and convert the data provided by citizens into big data to the department in charge (city resource circulation and , the Environmental Architecture Division) will support the establishment of a management, improvement, and enforcement system for vulnerable points.
Citizens can use the Smart CityPass app to post information on garbage such as places of unauthorized dumping through 'Post information (Safety News)' or post citizens' activities and news in the 'Environmental Story' corner, and only once a day to users. A certain amount of mileage is paid.
In particular, the mileage obtained by participating in the Clean Village service will be paid monthly as 'Smart City Pass app integrated mileage', which can be used for shared transportation services, etc.
‘Clean Village Service’ plans to encourage citizens to take the lead in creating a clean village by integrating the binary data for each dong and building a citizen-participating ‘garbage map’ based on a map next year.
Smart city challenge companies Crocent and Detonic are participating in this service together, and the city plans to focus on stabilizing the service with related departments during the pilot period and promote publicity for active citizen participation.
Bucheon Mayor Jang Deok-cheon said, “We will continue to do our best to develop into a ‘warm smart city, Bucheon,’ created by and enjoyed by residents, by providing a platform for citizens to directly participate in solving various problems in the city and collecting data.”
