(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자)  전국시도교육감협의회(회장 최교진, 이하 협의회)가 강득구 국회의원, 권인숙 국회의원, 윤영덕 국회의원, 강민정 국회의원과 공동으로 지난 6월 30일 오후 협의회 회의실에서 ‘국민이 만드는 2022 개정 교육과정 방향’ 토론회가 개최됐다.

 
발제자로는 송현정 교수(서울대), 최윤정 연구위원(한국여성정책연구원), 정현이 교사(대전느리울초), 정대수 교육연구사(경남교육정책연구소)가 참여했다.
 

발제를 맡은 송현정 교수는 ‘학교 민주시민교육을 위한 총론 개정 방안’으로 추구하는 인간상을 자율, 존중, 연대하는 사람 등으로 수정하며, ‘핵심역량’에 ‘비판적 사고역량’을 추가해야 하며, ‘인재상’을 종래의 ‘바른 인성을 갖춘 창의융합형 인재’를 ‘비판적 사고와 실천역량을 지닌 민주시민’으로 수정하자고 제안했다.

최윤정 연구위원은 ‘2022 개정 교육과정에서의 젠더교육 필요성과 반영 전략’이라는 발제에서 우리나라 학교 성교육이 양적인 측면에서 부족하고, 질적인 측면에서 제한적인 요소만을 다루고 있다며, 먼저 성평등 관점을 법적으로 명시하고, 국어, 사회, 도덕 등을 젠더교육 핵심반영 교과로 지정해야 한다고 말했다.


또한, 교과 접목형 다양한 성평등 교수자료 개발과 젠더 관점을 습득한 교원 양성과 훈련이 필요하다고 말했다.

정대수 교육연구사는 지구생태시민교육을 위해 학생의 환경학습권을 보장하고 지역교육과정을 활성화하며, 지구생태시민교육 융합교육과정 개발을 제안했다.

어효진 교육부 과장은 민주시민교육, 학교환경교육, 노동인권교육의 활성화를 위한 교육부 정책들을 설명하고, 2022 교육과정 개정 시 이런 교육들이 더 강화되도록 노력을 하겠다고 말했다.
 

장영일 장학관은 민주시민교육, 노동교육, 성교육, 생태환경교육에 대한 울산시교육청의 정책과 성과를 설명하고, 앞으로도 시도교육청 수준에서 노력을 하겠다고 말했다.
