(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천해양경찰서가 지난 3월 31일 연안사고 발생 시 수색 사각지대 해소와 골든타임 확보를 위해 선발된 국민 드론 수색대원과 간담회를 실시했다. 

간담회는 코로나19 방역수칙을 준수한 상태에서 진행되었으며 선발된 대원에 대한 위촉장 수여 및 격려, 전반적인 활동계획에 대해 설명하고 교육하는 시간이 됐다. 

국민 드론 수색대원들은 향후 6개월 간 인천 관내 연안사고 다발지역인 5개 파출소를 중점으로 연안사고 예방과 해양사고 발생 시 실종자 수색 등 신속한 대응을 위해 시범적으로 운영할 예정이다.   

백학선 인천해경서장은 “4차 산업시대의 대표 기술인 드론을 활용하여 구조정이 접근하기 어려운 지역이나 인력으로 수색에 한계가 있는 광범위한 지역에 국민 드론 수색대를 투입함으로 민·관 합동 대응을 통해 국민의 생명을 지키는데 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.
