인천 서구(구청장 이재현)는 2021년 한 해, 기존에 안고 있던 환경문제를 해결하고 감량과 재활용을 중심의 자원순환 선도도시, 푸른하늘이 일상이 되는 서구, 후손에게 물려줄 녹색도시, 자연과 혁신 기술의 만남 ‘스마트에코시티’의 청사진을 제시했다.

◇감량·재활용을 중심으로 자원순환 선도도시 만든다

우선, 새해엔 감량과 재활용을 중심으로 구민과 함께하는 ‘클린서구’를 조성한다.

생활 쓰레기의 신속한 수거를 위해 생활폐기물 수집 운반 신규 업체 진입을 허용하고 수집 구역을 5권역으로 세분화하며, 생활폐기물 운반차량 GPS 설치(폐기물 발생략 빅데이터 구축)을 통해 효율적인 수거 체계를 강화할 계획이다.
