(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 서구가 관내 악취배출사업장을 대상으로 자치구 단위에서는 ‘전국 최초’로 실시간 대기오염물질 측정차량(SIFT-MS)을 활용한 악취 무료 측정에 본격적으로 나선다.
 
이를 통해 악취 발생 원인을 선제적으로 규명하고 원천 차단함으로써 악취와 미세먼지 없는 서구를 더 뚜렷하게 완성해나간다는 방침이다.

이와 관련, 서구는 올해 관내 악취배출시설을 운영 중인 사업자에 대해 각종 시설에서 발생하는 악취 유발 물질을 측정, 분석 데이터를 제공하는 것과 동시에 악취 저감방안을 알려줌으로 사업장이 자율적으로 악취 물질 발생을 줄여나가는 데 힘을 보탤 계획이다.

이번 사업의 효과적인 진행을 위해 작년에 도입한 실시간 대기오염물질 측정차량(SIFT-MS)이 활용된다. 황화수소, 암모니아 등 지정악취물질 22종을 측정할 수 있는 차량이다.

사업장 배출구의 경우엔 악취 시료를 포집한 후 차량에서 분석을 진행하고, 사업장 내부 및 외부에서 측정할 땐 현장에서 실시간 측정·분석이 가능하다.

올해는 총 100개 사업장에 대해 무료 측정 및 분석을 진행할 예정이며 연말에 1년간의 성과를 평가한 후 확대 여부를 결정하게 된다.
